I just installed the TKO 600 in my 63 corvette and things all fit as advertised. Any questions I had were answered by your instructions such as floor sag and tunnel centering. A quality product that I would recommend to anybody that wants to drop their highway rpm’s and still have a good launch. Also, the TKO 600 can be installed by one person without removing the motor without a car lift and no transmission jack.

I’m impressed. I got my ‘62 Corvette back from the installation shop and I couldn't be happier with it. After much research and many phone calls and emails I bought the Ultimate Fit Vette Kit from Classic Motorsports Group. I choose the Ultimate Fit Vette Kit with the specially modified TKO-600 transmission designed to fit the 1958-1962 Corvettes. It is a complete bolt-in kit. Other than removing the ashtray pocket so the larger Tremec could fit in the tunnel, there were no modifications required to the car and the shifter came up in the stock location. The McLeod designed shifter is second to none – it is the smoothest most positive shifter I've ever seen. With the 5th gear overdrive for low RPM highway cruising and the lower first gear ratio for great off-the-line performance, the TKO-600 has made my ‘62 a much more enjoyable car to drive. With this transmission I was able to drop my RPM's at 65 MPH from 3600 to 2300 and I actually gained more “pop” off the line with the lower first gear. In my opinion,

The second best money I ever spent is with Classic Motorsports Group (best spent money has been on my wife). The transmission is great and is smooth to operate. It dropped my rpm’s down by 1320 in 5 th gear so I can now cruise at 75 to 80 MPH effortlessly. I did the transmission swap in my basement garage by myself. The provided tunnel cutting template was perfect. Also, I love the slightly lower 1st gear my wife can drive the car with now as she can let the clutch out at idle and not kill the motor. The McLeod clutch and pressure plate package is great – smooth and soft on the leg muscle, but yet has great hookup for the occasional drag race. The custom driveshaft was perfect fit. I can’t say enough about your package and the customer service I have received from your company. Thanks so much.

For any of you out there considering a 5 speed swap for your car, allow me to share my own observations. There are several sources out there now where you can purchase a Tremec TKO transmission and the pricing is all fairly competitive. For me, as with any major purchase, it comes down to customer service. Classic Motorsports Group has been involved with research and installations of these products, and they are always willing to answer questions as they come up. They have engineered vehicle specific components that have made swaps as close to bolt in as is possible. They continue to be involved with research & development on new components, such as high performance shifters. They have always (including long before, and long after I purchased anything) been prompt with e-mail and phone responses to questions I have had. Most recently I had ordered a one piece speedometer cable from them, and it took a few days longer than any of us expected to arrive. Yesterday I had a message on my machine at home asking if I had received the cable, which I did that day. Personal touches like that go a long, long way. I am doing everything I can to get my friends who own muscle cars to install a Tremec - it is by far the best mod I have done to my car. The excellent customer service I received from Classic Motorsports Group just made the whole experience even better. Take all this for what it's worth, but for my money, there is no other vendor to consider for a Tremec swap.

Just wanted to let you know that my conversion from a Turbo-Hydro 350 to the TKO-600 in my 1971 Camaro Z28, using your Elite Kit, has been an extremely satisfying experience. The kit's completeness was perfect and the instructions/guide facilitated our being able to perform the conversion in one 10-hour day. I have put lots of miles on the vehicle and the performance and feel of the clutch and shifting just gets better and better. Thanks again for engineering a great conversion package. A few years ago, I built my replica AC COBRA powered by a 305ci Chevy but I was never very happy with my old T10 gearbox. This year I decided to swap the T10 and I found Classic Motorsports Group, formerly Classic Chevy 5-Speed on internet. I am probably the first French client of this very friendly company and I was very excited to deal with the Classic Motorsports Group team. As soon as we agreed on the terms of payment (probably unusual as an overseas client), the transaction was handled very quickly. From the day I finalized my order it only took 10 days for my new TKO to cross the ocean and arrive in
Geneva. I ran into a few issues with my clutch set up but Scott from Classic Motorsports Group was always very friendly and helpful. I called several times with technical questions and the replies were always very quick and precise.
When funds permit, I will build a COBRA 289 FIA and I will definitely contact Classic Motorsports Group for another TKO transmission. I appreciate your service and prices.

I purchased my 5 speed about two months ago and I can tell you that I have never owned a vehicle that shifts as smooth as this one does. It is effortless, quiet, and very responsive. I show my 66GTO and sometimes I drive her up to Tahoe. Prior to installing my 5 speed I used to travel up there doing no more than 60 – 65 mph because my 4 speed was roaring at 3000 rpm. Now I can go up there in comfort and confidence and doing 2000rpm @ 70 mph God I love this transmission! Thanks for supplying a great product and helping with some of the questions we had.

The CC5S C4 TKO kit is superbly designed and engineered. This transmission shifts excellent and can handle anything I throw at it. Gone are worries about breaking my 4+3. The TKO has increased my enjoyment of the car exponentially. Previously, this car was driven once every week or two. Now, I drive the car every day of the week! I think up of reasons to drive. First to second shifts are perfect and I can hit it hard. The car just digs in and the drivetrain is solid. The true test of a shifter design is the delicate second to third shift, and this shifter ALWAYS goes into third. This trans is highly recommended and worth every penny and more. It will change the whole character of your car. The CC5S crew is extremely knowledgeable and are true enthusiasts who love their trade. Thanks guys!
